Passage in 10 seconds, a remake of Jason Rohrer’s Passage.
My favorite part is the audience member at the end, declaring the game to be art. It’s a relevant commentary – what causes something to be “art”? There certainly needs to be an audience willing to understand it as such. And here it is.

Haha! That was certainly entertaining. :)
Are games art? There are many arguments to that, but my personal opinion is that good art leaves interesting questions in the audience’s head long after it is over. Art in this case is very much a conceptual idea as opposed to what Marcel Duchamp calls Retinal Art (aesthetics, style, composition, etc).
In this sense, I believe Raitendo’s little spoof of Passage does indeed qualify as art. The way I read it, it questions whether the original was an overhyped representation of aging, by claiming that he has managed to represent it just as effectively in just 10 seconds. No right/wrong answer there, which is what makes it good art in my eyes. :)
