Ian Bogost is on a bit of a roll here, first Unit Operations, then Persuasive Games and now spreading the video game gospel on the Colbert Report. Go Ian!
My name is Jesper Juul, and I am a Ludologist [researcher of the design, meaning, culture, and politics of games]. This is my blog on game research and other important things.

Now that’s an interesting idea.
I recall flight sims can be used to accrue hours of training towards a pilot license. Never digged into the details. Was/is that true?
I rarely watch TV, so I have only seen Colbert interviewing Will Wright and now Ian Bogost. The way he leads the questions for the interviewee while sounding like he’s mocking them, is very smart. Is he always like that, or is he notably simpathetic to videogames?
The Bogost achievement most impressive to me is the deal to publish newsgames on the NYTimes website!
