Pax Warrior is a new game/simulation where the object is to save as many lives as possible.
Details are scarce and screenshots are few, but it seems you play the role of a UN peacekeeper and have to make decisions about how to do your job.
In a way, it indicates how games about touchy, tragic, and sensitive subjects are catching on. I think it’s good that there are more games about bad things.
It’s always good to see that games are able to take on more serious issues. At the same time, it’s hard to tell the agenda of the developers and publishers involved. Treading on such tretcherous ground guarantees publicity – I can’t help wondering that it’s something that the publishers (perhaps even the developers).I hope the game is good in of itself, rather than simply acting as vessal for a political statement. There’s nothing to stop that happening, I suppose. I just always feel a little suspicious of such things – they tend to tread a thin line between being Schindler’s List, and being exploitative and arrogant.
… and then I read the actual link and have to awkwardly withdraw my previous statement, spelling errors and all.
